I do not get to John's as often as I would like. I made a mistake when I went there on my last visit. I have gotten so used to getting pathetically small amounts of food when I order F&C's at other chippies that I usually order 3 pieces. I did this at John's and the plate was full to overflowing. I just loosened the old belt and made room for the unexpected bounty. And as usual it was fantastic. I would prefer home made chips, but the fish more than made up for my minor disappointment.

A few ladies I work with were discussing great seafood and one of them said "you have got to try John's Lunch. The food is out of this world and the portions size are amazing". So one day my daughters and I decided to drop by for lunch. John's definitely has the best seafood I've ever eaten. The staff is wonderful, the service is great and the food, well we'll just say I'm getting hungry right now just talking about it......I suggest ANYONE who loves GREAT seafood should stop by JOHN'S LUNCH and they will surly be hooked.

I have eaten at John's lunch many times . The food is delicious, and the staff are very friendly . John's lunch is also a very clean place to eat . It is a good place to bring your family to eat .

I'm 13 and ever since I can remember John's has been my favorite place to eat. Every time my family and I go in to eat the place is packed and we usually have to wait for a booth but we don't wait long because the service is so fast before we know it we're done eating! When we are leaving we are always asked if everything was good and we say "Are you kidding me?! Everything is ALWAYS excellent!!!" My mom remembers John's being here when she was a kid...No wonder, it's the best restaurant ever! I also have to say that the prices are very, very good for the excellent food and service you get.

Stationed at Greenwood and Shearwater in the late 80's and early 90's. Got out and went to St. Mary's. Moved to Coquitlam, BC. Boy do I miss people who know how to cook seafood the right way. It had been 2 years since i last visited you, i took my fiancé there for the first time, he's a Hamilton boy so didn't know about your place. He loved it . I now reside in Ontario and have for the past 6 years but every time i come home i go to John's for clams. I was just recently there in February with my dad and my son. My fiancé and I will be back in July. Look forward to seeing you again John. Awesome clams always!!

Second to none, by far the best there is when it comes to Seafood.
I had folks from New Brunswick and Ontario down and they have never tasted better food. Excellent, keep it cookin!

The comment about "as soon as I was old enough to chew, I ate at John's Lunch" was very true growing up in my house. My parents use to go to John's lunch on dates when they were first married. I now take my own husband their on dates to have some great seafood and excellent service. Keep up the great work!! :-)
